Julian's Istrian Weekend
I have been visiting the beautiful Istria in Croatia for over 10 years. Istria is a heart-shaped peninsula in the north west of Croatia, in Europe. This beautiful countryside has so much to offer from truffle hunting, vineyards, olive groves and so much more. I always visit the gastronomic family estate of Ipša. The Ipša olive oil is the best in the world! Here are some of my pics from this trip:
Hideaway in the beautiful countryside of Istria
Sunset in Istria, Croatia
Olive groves in the family estate of Ipša. Apparently Julius Caesar bought his Olive Oil from Istria.

Wine season
I stumbled across this snake on my morning run!
Freshly collected white truffles
Half a truffle with your scrambled egg?
More truffles…

Some truffle with your fried egg?

Foraging for beautiful mushrooms
Hand cut and served on a brioche. Delicious!
Ripe and ready for picking
This amazing ham is left to cure in the cellars alongside the wine. it is only ever hand cut.
